How Roger Ebert Found Some Happiness on Twitter

Recently came across this post from film critic extraordinaire Roger Ebert’s journal about how Twitter has become useful to his happiness. I found the entry to be a great write-up on what Twitter can bring to your life – depending on how you plan to use it. Ebert writes about his inability to talk and how important timing and rhythm are to good oral conversations and how even his use of computer to speak does not make up for that timing and rhythm. And in a way, Twitter does.

Despite his positive words about Twitter, Ebert does admit to curbing his addiction to Twitter by remembering the world around him, the book in hand, body on lounge, enjoying the art of READING. Sitting, side by side, with his wife to share quiet conversation.

It’s not that Twitter takes away from any of those things, but it can be a useful tool to add your voice to the conversations around you and to those that matter to you.

Ebert’s post is available [here].
